Fundamental Sales Skills for Direct Sellers Course

In a unique and exciting collaboration, the Direct Sellers Association of Canada has partnered with Brock University to develop the Fundamental Sales Skills for Direct Sellers online course. 

This short (2-3 hours), self-guided module is designed to equip independent sales consultants (ISCs) with essential skills for success in direct selling. Students learn about ethical practices, lead generation, sales techniques, and customer service strategies through self-paced, on-demand learning. They gain a strong foundation to grow their direct sales business confidently, whether just starting out or continuing a sales journey. 

The course includes content to help ISCs:

  • Explain the role and importance of ethics in the direct selling industry.
  • Identify opportunities for lead generation and customer connection.  
  • Demonstrate active selling strategies for in-person, online, and social media.  
  • Build confidence in nurturing leads, acquiring new customers, following up and serving repeat customers.  
  • Apply strategies to proactively grow income and reach sales goals. 

The course is intended to complement the existing sales training initiatives that DSA Canada member companies and their sales leaders provide to their field. Initially, this course will be offered in English only.

ISCs can sign up at any time and complete the course at their own pace, but must fulfil all requirements by the end date of the session in which they registered.

Member Discount

ISCs who are associated with a Direct Sellers Association of Canada member, may be eligible for a discounted course fee when registering. For further details, please contact DSA Canada, noting the member company you are associated with. Alternatively, your company may be able to provide you with the appropriate discount code.
