Fundamental Sales Skills for Direct Sellers Course - Coming Soon!
In partnership with Brock University, Fundamental Sales Skills for Direct Sellers is a 3-hour self-guided course designed to equip independent sales consultants with the foundation they need to grow their direct sales business. This introductory course equips independent sales consultants with essential skills for success in direct selling. You will learn about ethical practices, lead generation, sales techniques, and customer service strategies through self-paced, on-demand learning. Gain a strong foundation to grow your direct sales business confidently—online, in-person, and leveraging social media.
This course includes fresh strategies so you can:
- Find new leads without chasing strangers
- Confidently sell in-person, online, and on social (without being spammy!)
- Turn one-time buyers into loyal repeat customers
- Build a simple, sustainable follow-up system
- Grow your income — and your confidence
Program registration details can be viewed here. Initially, this course will be offered in English only, with French content to be developed over the next 12-months.

Of course, it is in the best interests of the organization that you work with to provide education and training on all aspects of business success. Team Guidance
If you are part of a sales team, particularly if you were brought into the sales opportunity by another ISC, they can be a great source of knowledge, guidance and inspiration. They have probably been through many of the same challenges that you are experiencing.

Code of Ethics Knowledge
Because industry integrity is the cornerstone of the DSA Canada, we uphold our Code of Ethics as a pledge for companies and independent sales consultants (ISCs) to follow in product sales, consumer care, recruitment and sales force relations. Each member company must rededicate annually to these provisions.
As an ISC for a DSA Canada member company, it is important that you understand your Rights and Responsibilities under the Code. Ethical business is good business and is proven to build strong customer relationships over the longer-term.

Industry Statistics
By understanding the broader data and trends of the direct selling industry, you are able to appreciate the strength and size of the channel, as well as the potential for personal and business growth. It can also be helpful information when discussing your business opportunity with potential ISCs.

Scholarships
To support your personal growth and the educational goals of your family, DSA Canada offers $16,000 in scholarships to full-time Canadian post-secondary students, whose lives have been positively impacted by the direct selling industry. Our Scholarship Program annually provides four $4,000 scholarships to eligible students.
Scholarship Applications open in April each year.
ISC Awards
DSA Canada’s Independent Sales Consultant (ISC) Awards are designed to recognize the achievements of outstanding consultants, who are actively involved in the sale of products for member companies in Canada. The awards showcase ISCs from across the country who are making a difference in their own lives and in their communities.
These Prestigious Awards are presented every September as a part of Direct Sellers Day celebrations.
