Students who entered the Game Development Advanced Diploma program in Fall 2023 or later will receive the following 7.0 transfer credits, provided they meet eligibility requirements:

• 0.5 WRIT 1001H - Write in Time
• 0.5 MDST 1010H - Digital World
• 0.5 unassigned Media Studies credits at the 2000 level
• 2.0 unassigned Media Studies credits at the 3000 Level
• 0.5 unassigned Cultural Studies-Media Studies credit at the 2000 level
• 0.5 unassigned Sociology credit at the 2000 level
• 1.0 unassigned Arts credits at the 1000 level
• 1.5 unassigned Arts credits at the 2000 level

Transfer credits for students who entered the Game Development Advanced Diploma program prior to Fall 2020 will be awarded on a course-by-course basis.

To qualify for this pathway, students must:

• Successfully complete Centennial College's Game Development Advanced Diploma program;
• Achieve a minimum overall average of 75%.

Students interested in degree programs not included in this pathway are referred to the Trent University website for information about admission requirements. Applicants will be considered in accordance with Trent University's general admission requirements. Students who meet the terms of the pathway will be eligible to receive the block of credits, but all transfer credits received may not be apply in full to all degree programs. 

Applicants who do not meet the minimum average requirements, but who are otherwise admissible to Trent University, will be considered for admission based on general admission requirements.

Conditions de résidence dans le programme

Students must complete the following 13.0 credits to fulfill requirements for the Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Media Studies:

• 0.5 MDST 1535H – Introduction to Media Studies
• 1.0 Media Studies credits from the following:
  • 0.5 MDST 2535H - Media and Society
  • 0.5 MDST 3535H - Television Studies
  • 1.0 MDST 2035Y - Indigenous Peoples and Media in Canada
• 1.0 unassigned Media Studies credit at the 4000 level
• 3.0 unassigned Media Studies credits in addition to those above
• 0.5 credit from the Approved Indigenous Course List
• 7.0 additional credits

*Additional notes: Credits without specified year levels must include at least 3.5 credits at the 3000 and/or 4000 levels, and no more than 5.0 credits at the 1000 level.

This Agreement will be reviewed annually, or more frequently if significant curriculum changes occur at either institution that may impact the pathway. Either party may terminate this Agreement by providing one year's written notice to the other party. In the event of termination, the parties will make reasonable efforts to ensure that students currently enrolled in the pathway are able to complete their studies without disruption.
