The Attaché Journal of International Affairs

I am Emilio Ortelli, one of the co-Editors-in-Chief of the Attaché Journal of International Affairs. My mission as Editor-in-Chief is to build a Journal that is ready for the future and covers a wider range of subjects that fall within the discipline of International Relations. My academic interests centre on International Political Economy, with particular attention to the political economy of finance, monetary policy, and regulation. I am also interested in multilateralism and Canadian international relations history.

Tessa is interested in issues of security, nationalism, and intelligence in the early Cold War as well as how people memorialize the past. As one of the Attaché’s Editors-in-Chief, Tessa is passionate about highlighting a range of fascinating scholarship from undergraduates at U of T.

Sophie Stojicevic is a double major in International Relations and Human Geography with a focus in Urban Studies. This combination of interests is best described as the intersection of public policy and economic development that considers governance at multiple scales. She is also currently employed at a resource management firm and a student consulting team for the City of Toronto, as well as a former G7 Compliance Analyst and recipient of the Sara Ginaite scholarship for excellence in Holocaust Studies.

My name is Paul, and I am a third-year student studying International Relations, History, and Political Science. Aside from editing for the Attaché, I am a Secretariat Member for UTMUN 2022 and a Lead Analyst for the G7 Research Group.

Hannah is a second-year student studying International Relations and Contemporary Asian Studies. She is interested cultural history, global governance, and development in the Asia-Pacific region. As an editor for the Attaché, she is excited to engage with the diverse student voices at U of T on topics and issues relevant to the global community.

Timothy is a 4th year undergraduate student of History and Political Science. His research interests center on the history and evolution of identity in the former Ottoman territories.

My research interests include Eastern European politics, the concepts of nationalism and populism, as well as interstate disputes and interventions. However, as someone who enjoys reading and writing about international relations, I am always interested in exploring new topics in this field.

Kiara is a third year student completing a specialist in History and Political Science. Her research interests include Russian and Middle Eastern politics, and security and intelligence. In her free time she enjoys reading espionage novels and European history books.

Victoria is a fourth-year student who almost became an art student but doesn’t regret pursuing academics. She derives joy out of a fine cup of coffee, an entertaining interlocutor and controversially, logic2010.
