Transfer pathways search

Students entering the General Arts and Science – Shki Miikan Certificate program in Fall 2024 or later will receive the following 5.0 transfer credits, provided they meet eligibility requirements: 

• WRIT 1001H - Write in Time
• 3.5 unassigned Indigenous Studies credits at the 1000 level 
• 1.0 unassigned Arts credits at the 1000 level

Transfer credits for students who entered the General Arts and Science – Shki Miikan Certificate program prior to Fall 2024 will be assessed on a course-by-course basis.

To qualify for this pathway, students must: 

• Successfully complete Georgian College’s General Arts and Science – Shki Miikan Certificate; 
• A minimum overall average of 75%.

Transfer credits awarded through this pathway may not apply in full to all degree programs. Students are encouraged to consult an academic advisor regarding the applicability of transfer credits to their chosen program and for assistance with degree planning.

Applicants who do not meet the minimum average requirements, but who are otherwise admissible to Trent University, will be considered for admission based on general admission requirements.

Bridging

Students pursuing majors for which equivalent introductory courses are not included in the transfer credit block may be encouraged to complete these courses in the term prior to beginning full-time studies at Trent University. Completing required introductory courses in advance may increase access to upper-year course options during a student's first year of study at Trent University. Students are strongly encouraged to consult an academic advisor for assistance with degree planning and course selection (http://trentu.ca/advising).
