Program Transfer Search

Students beginning studies in the General Arts and Science certificate program since Fall 2025 will receive the following 5.0 transfer credits: 

• 0.5 SOCI 1002H – Introduction to Sociology II: Exploring Social Life 
• 0.5 WRIT 1001H – Write in Time 
• 0.5 WRIT 2003H - Workplace Communications
• 0.5 unassigned Canadian Studies credit at the 1000 level
• 3.0 unassigned Arts credits at the 1000 level

Students who began studies in the General Arts and Science Certificate program prior to Fall 2025 are encouraged to contact Trent University about transfer credits received as part of this pathway.

To qualify for the block of transfer credits, students must have:

• Successfully completed Humber Colleges ’s General Arts and Science Certificate;
• A minimum overall average of 75%.

Bridging

Students pursuing majors for which introductory credits are not provided through the transfer credit block may be encouraged to complete courses in the term prior to entering Trent full-time. Consultation with an academic advisor is strongly encouraged. (http://trentu.ca/advising).

The transfer credit block for graduates of this program will be reviewed annually and adjusted, as necessary, to account for curriculum changes.
